Les Ackerman
Principal Architect
Les Ackerman, the founder of Charette Associates Architects, P.C., is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's School of Architecture. He is a New York State Licensed Architect and Building Code Official. With 35+ years of experience in architectural design, project management, building information management (BIM). and building codes, there are few building types that he has not had experience with. His clients appreciate the personal attention and level of detail which he provides.
Les has worked with New York State government agencies, such as the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities, the Office of General Services, and the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
He has taught at the professional and university level on topics such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and Computer Aided Design.
He is an avid fan of the New York Giants and loves to play golf in his free time (although he is terrible at it).
